Hi Guys, I'm 4 months post op, have so far lost 60% of the excess(65lbs) weight, yay!

However my body that was a large hourglass has become a pear, yes I have lost inches in the thighs/hips however not as quickly as the upper and mid half of my body, and feel quite out of porportion.

Was wondering if some of the vets out there have experienced the same thing and will I get to my hourglass figure again? I know I will lose more 40%(45lbs) to go . so hopefully the next to go is my hips/thighs? Right? I bloody well hope so!

Last time I lost weight I didnt hold the weight on my thighs/hips that was around 3 yrs ago, so I'm not panicking but sure would like so reassurance.

Please let me know if your have experienced this also, and the results at the end, ta

my problem area was my middle, i lost wt from my face first then it worked its way down,  last to go was the middle,  so keep the faith,  your hips will get smaller in time

The last time I took off a fair amount of weight (in my 20's) it took a while for all my body bits to get proportional. Working out helps a lot to tone and shape.

I have an hourglass shape as well. Bigger me=bigger hourglass. I've lost about 75 lbs so far and, while my basic shape is the same, the ratio is no longer the same. Are you taking your measurements regularly? I take mine at my monthly weigh-in and it has been extremely helpful. You can actually see the weight redistributing through the measurements. There have been months when I GAIN inches in one part of my body but lose in another. I have been told that it will continue to redistribute even after I reach my final weight.

Compared to other times when I have lost a large amount of weight, I am not losing in my upper arms. They look very out of proportion compared to the rest of my upper body now. They are the first thing I'm taking care of when I have plastics.
