The only doctor I am sure about in every aspect  is in Mexico.  But my problem is my health in getting there and back.  He is cheaper than those in the area so money that way not an issue.
I have checked into financing I have good credit so found a rate for 6.8%.  I'll check out the other and see if it's better.  Thank you for the recommendation I'm not 100% confident with any Doctor in the area.  However ever some seem good but not excellent.  Which is why I'm having a hard time deciding.

Those numbers would not work for me.......

You are SMO and need a good VSG surgeon that gets results with Supers.

Why are you not listing the surgeons name or the state your in?

Hi Frisco,
I called a few post op ppl in reference to my local doctor and you,  Elaine7 and JimboVSG are famous for having the best surgeorn in the US!  I wish I was local to him Dr C. or would be up for travel.  I think both Dr As and Mexico seem to be excellent too.
I live 1 hour from Philadelphia.  So if you know any surgeons that are even 1/2 as good in my area as yours let me know.  I'm not up for flying do to health problems so I have to stay local.
Dr Bonnani with Abington hospital is the doctor I was questioning the stats about.  I have an appt with him I thought his stats were better but I had misunderstood the info previously.
Let me know if you know of anyone famous in my area that would be better.  Thanks so much for the advice.

I just ask the patient cordinatoors or nurse practictioners at the ofices.  I spoke to a few patient cordnators that did admit there was a death or two.

Would a Michigan surgeon work for you finance wise? From your posts I'm assuming you're self pay. Dr Paul Kemmeter in Grand Rapids did my surgery and also does the DS. I could not have had a better surgeon.

Michigan might be easier to travel to than CA or Mexico. (I'm coming from PA)  But do you know what he charges?

I just wanted to say, as another Dr. Aceves patient, I would recommend him to anyone. I honestly feel like it was the best decision I've ever made.

I'm kind of a whimp, and the travel home was mildly unpleasant, but not unbearable. I get that you have other conditions that didn't apply to me, but I really think that as long as you follow Jo's advice about moving your legs and such, you'll be okay on that front.

As far as the IBS goes, I'm not sure how bad IBS is right after surgery, when you don't have anything in your body other than a little chicken broth and vitamin water?

I would seriously consider calling Dr. Aceves's patient coordinator, Nina, and addressing some of those concerns with her. I'm sure she has heard all of that before and more, and she can probably give you a better idea of what your best options would be if you choose to go to Mexicali.
