Sleeved 5-7, Still on liquid diet, will go to purees next week. I am not in pain from the surgery, I am nursing the water & been "OK" getting in protien. However, while my body heals  & uncomfortableness lessen, my over-all weakness & fraylity increase. I'm 37 and felt like a 90yr old frail women walking today. even weaker than in the hospital. My only thought is it is due to mal-nutrition. (Sorry for all my typos). I seem to becoming very aware of my body and it is screaming not for food but nutrition. The deprivation is taking it's tool. With this in mind, I stopped at a viatmin store and got liquid B-vitamins. I also got a liquid "Super Food Multi-Viatmin Plus 2000". The "super food" tastes horrible but has so much more than my current multi-V my doctor listed in higher doses and being liquid (instead of chewable). Anyways, I took 1/2 dose of the B-viatmin and the super-food multi-V and rested on the couch for the next 2 hours (I didn't nap, but basic task are seemlingly to much) The effect was not instant, about 2-3 hours later I started to feel less frail, less weak and more alert but far from perfect. I'm very worried. I feel unhealthy.  I am going to the doctor on Tuesday for my follow up but frankly I don't see what they can do beyond give me fluids. I need nutrition. How can I get it? With such a limited diet and small stomache, how can I get nutrition beyond the protien shakes? Please help.

Glad to hear you are going to the doctor.
Your symtoms sound more like dehydration. Try drinking more fluids.
B12 sublinguals are what I take daily it helps with my energy level.

You are still healing as well so be patient with yourself.

good luck,
donna

You just had major surgery, you are going to feel puny for a bit. It's unlikley you are malnourished this early out. Yes you are basically not eating but if you are getting close to your protein goals, you should be fine! Yes it's crummy!

Exactly how much protein and water are you getting?

Just try and follow all the guidelines, get your water in first, then protein, then vitamins.

It DOES get better!!
