Pre-op victory

Sometimes, it's the little things that reinvigorate you. Sometimes, they're microscopic. No matter, though. It still works!

I've been struggling with my pre-op diet and had a couple of slips last week. I've worked hard to refocus my efforts and prepare better for my triggers. Last night, the bf & I invited some friends over to my place for an impromptu dinner. I managed to stick to my eating plan, even as I made potatoes and schnitzels for the guys to eat. I used the opportunity to throw all the potatoes I had in the house at them, so they won't be in my kitchen anymore! Then I sat with them and picked at my protein-shake ice cream (an eggface recipe) while they tucked in. It was difficult, but I managed it, and I feel great this morning. No bloatedness, so sluggishness. Bit of a headache, but that's from weaning off of caffene last week. =D

I feel good, duh-duh, so good, duh-duh, and I knew that I would, now!

GOOD JOB!  There is no way I am inviting friends over for dinner for the next 2 weeks while I am doing my pre-op diet!  I am going to struggle enough!  All my friends can text me! LOL.

You did great! The victory will be having a smooth surgery that will allow you to totally control the weight. I am 20 days post op and feel like a million! Blessings. Sharon
