Clothes during weight loss?

I've lost 30lbs already and just started the liquid diet with my surgery sheduled for May 7th. My clothes fit but are really baggy and I one super-baggy pair of jeans feel down to my knees the other day while wearing them. LOL! I guess that's a good problem. With surgery around the corner, I am expecting to loose weight even quicker so my question is, how do you manage your clothes? I don't want to buy a new wardrobe every 4-8 weeks but I do work in a professional envornment and need to have nice clothes. Any tips? Is there a secret to managing your clothes with the weightloss? I guess in my head I was thinking when I'm thin I'll buy new clothes but there is a year of transition in there and my old clothes won't work and constantly buying new clothes isn't an option either. What did you do? How did you handle it?

Kohl's has an extremely liberal return policy, exchanging clothes that have been washed and worn even.

What?!?! How the heck do they make money?? I need to go find out if I fit into their stuff. Do you show up with obviously worn items or do they look very new and you iron them all pretty and make them look as new as possible?

Nope.

They ask if it's been washed and/or worn.

I saw "Yes, it's been washed".

They take it and put it on their clearance racks.

I've had little trouble doing this.  I mean, the clothes aren't "worn" down much - how many times can I wear a shirt or a pants in only two months (or less)?  Sometimes I've gone down jean sizes in one month.

Yeah in the last month I've gone down a pants size and 2 shirt sizes in some cases. Crazy considering I'm still big. I thought flying by sizes wasn't supposed to happen until later. I can't wait to fit into clothes at Kohls!!!!

I am working through some bins I had stored over the years.  But for my professional clothes - I went to Goodwill.  I can't afford new suits at each size, so just got some blazers and slacks from there.  Also hit some thrift stores - and I am so happy it is rummage/garage sale time.  For the professional clothes - I am heading to the more expensive neighborhoods.  lol.

Some people have clothing exchanges.  I have heard that some support groups do as well.  I would look into it.

I have to dress business and business casual for my job.  So I used thrift stores like Goodwill and Salvation Army and other local ones.  I was amazed at some of the nice stuff I found there for cheap.  I would usually try to have 2-3 pairs of dress pants that fit at any given time and just re-wear them during the week plus several nice shirts, jackets, sweaters and rotate through them.  I went through sizes FAST.

The other option is to have a tailor take your clothes in for you.  This can be more expensive than other options, though, so be wise.  I know how to sew, so I whipped out my sewing machine and took some of them in (the less complicated items) myself.
