Eating out

I hate cooking.  On top of that I don't even feel well enough to cook.   I always just bring in premade foods like from Wegmans etc.   Any suggestions of what I can do after my sugery? Either really really simple meals or what I can still eat out once I'm on solid foods.

I'm not a heavy eater outer, but it seems to happen enough that I got online to every FF and regular restaurant I could think of and made a list of things I could eat. I carry the list with me.

During the beginning stages of eating I had a different list of soft stuff at those same restaurants. During the full liquid stage I never ate out - didn't even go with the family when they ate out. Just didn't feel like it.

Its easy to order a chicken salad with dressing on the side and eat the chicken first. No one will even know whats missing from your plate. And when I go out with my guy friends I always order wings and then i'll pick at the meat (minus the skin) and they don't know the difference.

My family and friends like to eat out A LOT! Following surgery I have found that it is best not to order a full meal. Once you are cleared to eat meats I would just order a side of whatever type of meat you want.

At first I would still order a full meal (even a Seniors or child's meal) but it was such a waste to spend all that money when all I was going to eat was the meat anyway!
For instance my girl friends and I went out for dinner and I ordered a beef skewer. I ate just enough grilled beef and then took the rest home. cost me less than $5!
Another time my family went to a local diner to eat. I was really wanting some bacon so I ordered just a side of bacon. It was also enough to fill up while still having left overs! Cost me less than $3!

On a side note, I use to hate cooking too however now I LOVE it!

At home I love cheese, edamame (steam a little at a time in the microwave), precooked chicken with a little ranch dressing mix (the powder) and greek yogurt. At a restaurant, if I'm with family I'll just tell the server "nothing for me, thanks" and I'll pick off the appetizer and others will share with me. When I'm with friends or alone I'll get an appetizer or a side. No biggie. I just bring cash to make it easy on the server.

I started at 324lbs and a size 26.  After losing 100 lbs, I became pregnant with my first daughter, who was born in March 2011.  My second daughter was born in September 2013.  I have maintained a healthy lifestyle and now hover around 160lbs.  I would like to get back to the 140lbs before I became pregnant with my second daughter.  The sleeve literally gave me LIFE - two beautiful, healthy little girls.  My husband had his VSG with Dr. Marema on 10/1/2012 and is on his weight loss journey, currently down 90lbs.

I buy a lot of simple foods from Schwann now- stuff like chicken bites, beef bites, turkey tenderloin. I also buy things like frozen turkey meatballs, turkey pepperoni, and boca burgers.  All of these are easy to prepare and pack for work :).

I have never bought anything from Schwann but after reading your post I am thinking about it because I am not doing well with eating. I am eating very very poorly. I have even had some weight gain but enough about me.
Does this brand of frozen and then microwave better than what you find in the grocery store? How do you cook your chicken bites,,,,,,i noticed you can put them in the over.

I think some of there stuff is indeed better than the grocery store brands.

Most of the items I get are easy to make, and come in small chunks.  So, I just get out a microwaveable plate, measure out my 2 ounces, heat, then eat :)
