plain water.   sometimes ill mix some cytomax protein in it 50/50 for some extra protein.  its too strong to drink straight up.

You really aren't going to want to drink your calories or carbs.

Some like crystal lite or that mio stuff added. I like a slice of citrus in my water, yes plain old water!

A lot of folks report that they can taste the difference in varying brands of water. I'm one of them. I cannot stand Ozarka, but I love Nestle Pure Life. Buy some bottles of different brands and experiment with them. You will notice your taste and tolerance for things changes dramatically after surgery, even down to the temperature of the liquid. Trial and error. No particular brand of water is going to "do more" for you. My nutritionist had me on low calorie Gatorade for the first week after surgery just to help keep fluids in. Talk to your dietician about what they recommend. I can tell you this, once you're fully healed and drinking normally, don't rely on things like Gatorade. Find that brand of water you like and if necessary, change it up any which way with sugar free, calorie free powder mixes.

When I get tired of water, I switch to surger free Snapple. It satisfys a little bit of the sweet tooth also. Special K protein powder that you mix with water is good also.

powerade zero has tons of flavors and has a much better nutritional value than the G2 (gatorades version)

The water by us is not good so I have bottled water only. I have Nestle delivered for the house, but I buy Smar****er at costco where it is cheaper than anywhere else and it is awesome. I drink that at work and in the car. I've never had Propel. Taste is such an individual thing. I know after surgery next month I am going to miss my Peligrino which I drink by the case weekly
;( Best, Sharon

I don't like plain water post op. I add MiO. I also add some Isopure to my water for protein.

Post surgery I find the pre flavored waters like Zero to be too sweetened for me.  My go tos have been decaf Peach Passion tea and True Lime/True Lemon.  I use distilled water and add stevia for sweetness to my taste.
