Hair lost need to share
last year I posted in the Black American Form asking about locs.. because I do have long locs and is worried about hair loss.. so this is one reply i recieved.
I have locs and I had some hair thinning on the the front and sides of my hair well that is where it was the most noticeable. Make sure you get adequate protein, take your vitamins and use Castor oil on your scalp. You can use any type of Castor oil but I recommend black Jamaican Castor oil that you can purchase on amazon.com. taking Botin can't hurt because hair and nails benefit from the supplement. I don't think there is much difference if someone has locs or not but I do think the hair loss may be less noticeable with locs.
now here is my research about castro oil...... Benefits of Castor Oil •Castor oil contains Omega-9 fatty acids which help moisturize the hair and the scalp preventing both from becoming dry. •Does castor oil help hair grow? It sure does. Regularly applying castor oil to your scalp and roots to eliminate dry hair and promote regrowth of hair within months. It will also help to thicken hair that is thinning out. •Helps reduce and prevent damage. Also can hide the appearance of damage while trying to improve your hair's health leading to thicker, fuller hair over time. •You can also experiment with adding some castor oil to your conditioners for a deep conditioning treatment. You'll have to experiment with the amount of castor oil to use to avoid greasy hair. I would start off with a small amount like a teaspoon or less.

I agree with the teaspoon or less. Jamaican Castor Oil is very thick and a little goes a long way. I have never tried the regular.
I hope I am not jinxing myself but I am 9 months out and have not experienced any hair issues. I follow my vitamin regimens and get my protein in. Ive had surgery in the past and never lost hair. I am also wearing locs and I think it is less noticeable with that style.
