I had blood work done in January and they made me do it again! They said that all pre op tests must be done no sooner than 30 days before surgery. I had to do blood work, chest xray, EKG, and venous study. I did not have to do upper GI

March 20th here I come!

Just like Firefly2006 said-bloodwork must be no more than 30 days old, and my surgeon's office required pre op testing the week before surgery where more blood work, a chest Xray and urinalysis was done. You need to get the referral from your PCP right away so you can get the work done and get the test results back; also, I had an endoscopy (digestive test) done in June 2011 and was sleeved on Valentines Day and I didn't have to repeat it- hope this helps and best wishes.
