Iron deficiency and anemia are nothing to mess around with when you have a sleeve.  You'll be drastically reducing your intake and protein can be hard for a few weeks.  Take your meds!

As for hair loss, I firmly believe there's nothing you can do to avoid it if it's going to happen.  90% of sleevers lose a good amount of hair.  It's normal when you have surgery.  Tellogen effluvium... google it.  You can potentially help it start re-growing and/or stop it from getting terribly bad by getting in lots of protein and taking your vitamins.  However, I would plan on losing some hair so you are not shocked by it later.

In the end, the hair loss is definitely worth the weight loss.

I am so happy that everything worked out and you're approved.  Regarding your anemia that's definitely something to bring up with Dr. Yatco.  He's a great doctor and will be honest and upfront about everything.  Regarding your hair, well that's another story.  As long as you take in the required amount of protein you really shouldn't have a problem.  Taking Biotin helps, but it doesn't prevent hair loss, it does help with the new hair growth.  I didn't really lose that much hair, but I did notice if I didn't follow my protein regime I would notice more strands falling out.
Keep in touch.
