Super sweet surgery in India
Hi guys.
I had vsg surgery on the 18th Feb in Indai
My surgeon was Dr Randeep Wadhawan
I found him very good.
I had no gas pain
No swelling
No sore throat
Leak test all good
No bruising
No wound infections
I did alot of research on him , to be sure I was in safe hands.
I felt very confident going in, and came out in very good condition.
If you are self-pay like I was you may want to consider India.
I went through Medical Tourism Healthbase, that works from the USA, I found their service redundant and I would just arrange things myself next time, plastic etc.
He has no leaks complications or mortality to date.
He has worked in the us and uk , so speaks very good english, I couldn't of asked for better.
The price I paid was $6600 USD that was for an companion also , pick up drop off, single private room. A+++++++++++

India, hmm. I've heard horrible things about India just as a place to travel to, specifically in regards to cleanliness. I would never let someone cut me open in India. Mexico, maybe, but definatley not India. The friends of mine who traveled to India together said the general odor of the country was revolting. Public washrooms atrocious. One left with an intestinal parasite, that shes never been able to fully recover from.
All to save a couple thousand? No thanks. And I paid for surgery out of pocket in the US.

You are right in part. India is a huge country with vast disparities between rich, poor, clean, dirty, smelly or perfumed...and the same goes for their medical facilities. There are some horrible "hospitals" and there is the whole organ sales and theft industry and then there is also the state of the art hospitals with the best doctors and the best facilities/equipment. People die in hospitals in the US too and doctors make mistakes. Malpractice suits were invented in the US! So don't write India off. I just came back from an Asian country I had not been to for 18 years and Wow!!!! It is completely transformed. Honestly, I would rather have my medicals there than in most other places, US and the like included. The standards of care, service and hotels...incomparable.
