Bariatric Food (REAL, not junk)

A friend of mine had RNY last year and was so impassioned about the lack of options for bariatric paitients that she started her own company. They ship out. I've had the pleasure of taste testing almost all of it and OMG! They have everything from broths (I dunno about you guys, but the store bought stuff is so nasty) to purees to meals for me now.

Check them out. Shipping is expensive, but they have to package it well for mailing. Overall, the pricing is very good.

My favorites:

Broth - Sherry Mushroom. OMG so good. I REALLY wish this was available when I was on broths!

Puree - Salmon, and the chicken bean soup. Both are really good pureed.

Soup - the chicken and white bean is so good. I ordered several of these and they are in my freezer now.

Meals - Italian Sausage Zuchini lasagna - OMG, this is the BEST THING EVER. The Shrimp Creole is also AMAZING.

Anyway, just wanted to pass this along. I needed stuff for lunch. I struggle with that and this has been GREAT for me. The portion size is just right and it's really good food.

It looks great but not much food I would actually eat unless I missed something. I dont eat soup or broth much.

They have those things for those starting out, but they have other things as well... not tons of options yet. They are just getting started and getting all the nutritional analysis and stuff done takes a lot of time. Plus they are developing the recipes themselves.

I don't know... there might be custom issues with that, but I'll definitely ask Karen and Alexis. They do have a commercial kitchen and all that jazz, so I would think "maybe". :)

Oh wow... the food looks good and I found 5 or 6 items I want to order. They are local to me and I would love to support them. That would be handy for weekends to have in freezer. I am going to try and make an order next week. Thanks for sharing.
