What an accomplishment !!!!

For me.....The day I reached my final goal weight........I closed that book in my life.....

And opened a new one.....one based on clearing the slate and starting a new.....

This new book is based on living the life I missed all those Obese years........

It also includes a continued healthy new non-abusive relationship with food and incorporating everything I learned and continue to learn about weight/eating control.

I/we go into maintenance with much more at stake than anytime before. We risked our lives with surgery, we lost the weight, we took the time to learn. We go into maintenance far more educated and much more invested. We have invested time, money and emotion into re-claiming our lives....that will give us a great advantage going into long term stability.......

Just the fact that your thinking about this and sharing this topic....puts us all one more big step ahead of the game....

I think most considering this surgery need to read your profile and realized you worked long and hard before VSG surgery. They need to read the while story but the posts here certainly show you are a truely inspiring person. I love your post here. I hope someday I get to meet you. I drive past your area, well the highway a few times a year.. Let me know if you plan a visit to the city on an evening or weekend or even let me know if you are having the hernia repair here and I would live to stop in to see you.

thanks to all of you who posted.... it has been a long 2 1/2 years and still a bit to go. I go for my hernia repair march 20th so things will def change for me again.
For all those who are waiting or have had surgery... keep at it...it is so worth being healthy...... and life is so differnet. there is alot f learning and changes but you all can do it and have success. remember the VSG is just a tool. it is YOU who is responsible and do the work that makes this a success....and you CAN do it.

Jackie would love it if you would drop by...any time  is great.... I am having my hernia repair on the 20th of march and will more than likely be in the VG a few days before going home. will be in metro the evening of the 19th...think we will be at the choc inn on the lake.
