OMG!! I'm going to be a healthy Nana for the first time!!!

I'm so excited!! I just had to share!! Found out today my daughter is pregnant!! 

I missed out on so much fun with my one and only grand girl (10 yr old). I wasnt able to go to the park or zoo because I was in constant pain with my arthritis (hips & feet). I didnt babysit very often because I was completely exhausted all the time and she just wore me out.

So NOW I am going to be able to experience being a healthy Nana. I will be able to go to the park and zoo. I will be able to babysit when I want to. I just really cannot explain how happy I am right now!!

I have made up some of the things I couldnt do with the grand girl. In fact a couple of weeks ago we went to Great Wolf Lodge Resort. The big attraction there is an indoor water park. She really wanted to go on one of the water slides but it was a 2 person ride. Her mother has anxiety/panic attacks in enclosed spaces so guess what? I was a super cool Nana and rode the water slide with her. It was a first for me and the last but at least I was able to entertain her with my screams. I couldnt figure out how to get on the thing and then couldnt figure out how to get off (didnt want to get the hair wet!! LOL!).

I will continue to do as many "little" things for the grand girl as I can but also am looking forward to the new things I will be able to do with the new grand.

That is so awesome! Being a healthy grandma was number one on my list of reasons to have the surgery, and I don't even have grandkids yet. It is really great to hear your experiences.
