Trying this again over here because my original post didnt have anything in it. Sorry for the double post but hopefully y'all will have some ideas

My PCP gave me an extra week off work so I could get my sleep schedule down again and that's great but I am nervous about going back to work anyway. How do I stay on track with my vitamins and supplements and my eating? In a way it's like being back in first grade at my job, we get candy treats for great customer service or ice cream if we do a certain amount on monitors and theres pizza parties every other week for some reason or other, birthdays are all about a food day and cake. i know i can do this at home because I spend an hour or so making sure the fridge has food i can eat in it and I have lots of water to drink and my protein  shakes on hand.

And too, it's been a month.. or rather will be by the time I go back. Exactly to the day one month. What if i can't keep up anymore? I feel like

I am actually kind of scared to go back to work. And i'm not scared of nothin.... except spiders... and heights

I hear ya -- but, you are going to be fine.

1st.  I pack a cooler bag every night with my food and stuff for the day.  Everything in a little container or ziplock.  I put it in the fridge overnight all packed and then drop the ice pack in before I leave.  That way I don't have to put my stuff in the fridge - I can just keep it under my desk.  So I can eat my meals/snacks without going to the kitchen several times.

If people at work dont know about your WLS can you just be busy during the food parties?  Put a little on your plate and mu**** around then cover it with your napkin?

I was out 6 weeks (holidays and stuff pushed it out longer than it needed to be).  I did feel a little alien coming back after all that time.  It only took a few days for that to wear off completely and it was like I was never gone.

Stay strong -- you will be fine!!!

Push through it.

Just gotta push through it.  You can do this, of course.

All that food at work?  Screw it.  You can't have it, you can't eat it, and life isn't about rewarding yourself through eating, oh, twenty-seven times a week anyway.  Just decline a food-related treat offered to you at work; I do.

I have my water pitcher at work, my protein powder at work, back-up solid food (jerky, bars) in case I forget my lunch, etc.  It's really not a big deal after you get into the swing.

Heights suck.

You will do great!  I just know it!!!

Thank you Linda!!

I did pick up a couple more cold packs for my lunch box today because god only knows how old the ones in the freezer are already and what if they leak that nasty blue goo all over lol. I am thinking that since Friday and Saturday are my normally scheduled days off I am going to work on getting back in the swing of my schedule at work and see if that normalcy helps with the jitters. Plus I will going back as a whole new me with a different hair color and smile and wardrobe really so I think I am a little nervous about everyone's reaction to that as well.
One of the things I think I am going to do tomorrow is see if my boss will let me come in on Friday to go through my emails and get the important ones ready for Sunday. Maybe that will help calm my nerves too. Nothing like trying to be proactive about this right?
