Help - any military wives?

Hi! I'm a military wife going thru a military program for the sleeve. There are 4 phases. 1 Lean & Light where you learn healthy eating, food log, loose weight...2. Dietican 3. Psch 4. Surgery ...Anyways... those who are military can tell you that delays are normal. However, I'm on a time crunch. I just finished phase 1 lean & light. I am going into phase 2. IF phase 2&3 go quickly, I can probably get surgery in March. My husband has to be here to take care of me for 3 weeks and he leaves in April. So, if I don't get in March, we have to wait until we PC to San Diego where he is going on a ship and chances are it will be a year plus before I can do the surgery. Does anyone have any tips to help get me thru the dietican & psch quickly? I know this is a huge life change and I have weighed my options. I want/need the surgery. But it truly is a now or never type thing and if I don't advance quickly, it won't happen. Any tips or advise? thanks!

Make sure you tell all your docs this...  Why wont they do the surgery if he is not there?  My husband was deployed when I had mine.  I flew my Mom in to take care of me, is this an option for you?  I know it's stressful but everything will work out the way it is meant to...  Good luck!

Hi!  Have you sat down with your dr/surgeon and explained the situation to them?  I think if you explain everything in detail with a calendar they will do their best to accomodate your needs.  After all, this is a change that will improve the lives of your family as well.  Just be honest and don't try to rush the process.  It all happens for a reason.  Good Luck and I hope things work out for you.
