JW if anyone would do anything differently in regards the ride home after surgery?  I will only have about a hour and half ride but seems I remember a post about someone being pretty uncomfortable with just a short ride....(just the movement of the car against the incisions).  Also, did anyone wear something like underarmor just for support immediately postop?

I had a lonnnng, cramped car ride across the border back into the US from Mexico followed by two plane rides 2 or 3 days after surgery. It wasn't that bad, really. I was worn out by the end of it though. Maybe just bring some pillows and blankets to make yourself as comfortable as you can. I'll tell you the one thing I WISH I had right after surgery was a neck pillow. Laying down to sleep was almost impossible for me. (And no, I didn't wear any support garments after surgery. I wanted loose, comfortable clothes.)

My ride home was about 20 minutes and I felt every single bump and every single turn.  It hurt my abs and incisions.  I would suggest having a pillow that you can hold across your abdomen to help cushion things.

my only suggestion is half way through the drive, you might want to stop and walk around for a few minutes.
Do not ask God to guide your footsteps if you're not willing to move your feet.

Mine was over an hour and I was totally fine. I remember tensing my abs as we hit bumps because I was scared but it never actually hurt or anything.

My last 1/2 mile was on a gravel road...that was a treat. Holding a pillow to your abdomen might be helpful. Otherwise, I agree with Shwag, I was more worried about what might happen than what actually did. So relax!

No problems at all.
I had an day air travel from San Diego back to Buffalo.  Even switched planes in Chicago. No problems and no pain meds.
