Carbs - Vitamins - CONTROL!!! NET CARBS?
I certainly know what you are saying about Costco-loads of things! I'm just now finishing off the bucket of Bariatric Advantage chewable calcium wafers (I've been using pills in there too since I could tolerate them a month or two out, so they have lasted longer, but still...)
Your loss is coming along well, particularly with losing a lot pre-op - the big drop we usually see at the start usually comes at the beginning of the major weight loss effort, so if you had an aggressive pre-op diet that created a healthy loss, you probably won't have as big a drop immediately post-op as those who didn't lose much pre-op. I lost about 30lb the first month after surgery, but didn't lose anything pre-op (actually gained a bit) so that tends to even out. And, things do slow down after the first 2-3 weeks, whether or not one has the dreaded 3 week stall. I averaged a fairly consistent 2-3lb per week after the initial big drop the first month or so.
I never really considered carbs in my dietary planning or control, so never got into the net vs. total game; overall calories and best balanced nutrition after the basic protein requirements were my main focus. If you are concerned about the carbs, or just the overall calorie contribution of all the gummies, you can try using some of the pill forms when you can. or the other low/no carb/calorie alternatives suggested by others and continue using up the gummies one meal at a time instead of all doses for the day. - yeah it makes them last longer, but it spreads out those calories/carbs over more time (I hate having those things go to waste!)
One other note - if your multivitamins have iron in them, as most do, then you should space out your calcium supplements by a couple of hours as the calcium and iron compete for absorption by the same receptors in the body. It's the same reason why the calcium needs to be spread out during the day - those receptors can only handle so much at a time.
Good luck and happy progress!
