sleeved!
Just checking in. Everything went great on Weds. Water never tasted so good before yesterday. Waiting for surgeon to say I can leave. Still have some gas I haven't been able to walk Burp or fart out. Funny TMU: laying in bed, felt need to pass gas. Heard the board mantra, never trust a fart. Thank goodness I didn't trust that one.
Through the easy part, now comes the long steady road down.

What a GREAT Xmas present to give yourself. You'll find that it will be pretty "non-eventful" and that all that worry was for nothing! Just follow doctor's and your nutritionists orders. Get in your water, protein, walking...and even meds if you need them and most of all RELAX! It's all over now and there's nothing to do but get better and enjoy your sleeve! It's going to be a great year!

That's great!!
Welcome to the loser's bench....take it one day at a time & you'll do great.
Congrats

Thanks y'all :) Finally back home (well, sorta - staying with my parents through the holidays) and got to sleep through a night without being woken up for vitals or given a heparin shot or something. I still find it hysterical that every time I burp or fart, my mom is all like, "Good girl!' or "That's it" "That's a better one" or something. She had RnY 2 years ago so she remembers the gas pains well. This is a pretty good Christmas present to myself....as my surgeon said yesterday at discharge, "Welcome to your new life." Bonus: I don't have to cook/bake anything for the holidays this year. :)
Merry Christmas all.
