Saw My Doctor
So today I went to my PCP and started my 6 month diet he gave me some diet pills am not going to take them. I was never ask to do a 6 month supervise diet but when I got denied I saw it as one of my insurance requirement. My surgeon said that they going to appeal it for me so I don’t have to do anything I did write an appeal letter and wondering if I should send it off. My doctor will be having a peer to peer meeting with the insurance company so he can explain why my surgery is medically necessary since the insurance company state the reason for my denied is “not medically necessary" so I am hoping things work out for me.
So are you starting the 6 months today/now? If your insurance company requires the 6 months of visits to approve the surgery 9 times out of 10 your surgeon appealing the previous decision because you didnt meet the requirements will do no good. Whatever the insurance company requires you have to give them those requirements and in some cases more. I wish you the best.
