Removing my laband and converting to VSG 12/20/11

You have had several years to learn to eat right. I think you will do fine. Now, the reflux will last for a few months. My doctor said maybe six months. The body needs time to adjust to the sleeve. I take Prevacid Soluables once a day. It is keeping my reflux down. With the band I had reached a point where medication was not helping. I hear of more and more banders losing their bands because of reflux. In my band support group four of us have lost our bands. I am the only one to move to a sleeve. The others are researching what is best for them.

Yes! I am having my lap band removed this Weds 11/9 and in about 6 weeks after will get my sleeve. Don't have a date yet. My surgeon waits 6 weeks between the band and sleeve. Congratulations to you!!!

P.s. Reflux is exactly why I have to have the band removed also.
