the pain is actually alot less than i thought it would be. im more sore than anything, especially in my chest. the tt doesnt really hurt, though i have an 'on q' lidocaine drip system in a fanny pack and the drip system is internally dripping numbing lidocaine in my stomach. that will come out monday.  i have a pic in my plastics pic of all of it.

im taking  2-4mg Dilaudid every 4-6 hours for pain. same as they gave me for my vsg and same as for my ovarian cyst removal with c-section entry.

well you sound like you are doing very well and hope this continues for you. I didn't need any pain meds with my VSG and just took them because of the flight home and didn't want to feel uncomfortable. I know others have had lots of pain post op with the VSG. I guess we will have to get the name of your plastic surgeon if your pain is well tolerated but I am hoping mine will be covered here in Canada but who knows and I might have to come up with the money to have it done.

Is it normal to be discharged that soon? Are you able to get up and move around?

I forgot to mention that you look great in your bed for being post op.

i was actually going to stay overnight, it was extra but my parents wanted me to stay..alot of people are discharged same day but for the sake of iv pain meds they wanted me to stay..

and then the abuse started. i wasnt even awake from anesthesia completely and the nurses were harassing me to leave to the point i demanded my parents..then when my parents came in they straightened up some but still kind of tried to push me to go home so they didnt have to get orders from the doctor aka more work..i figured i would get better care at home as my mom is a nurse so i went home. couldnt deal with those beasts any longer..

That is unreal how they can treat someone like that, I would definitely talk to your surgeon about it. These people are paid to take care of you. It is great though that your mom is a nurse and can probably take better care of you, sometimes it is best to heal at home and it sounds like you have a great opportunity to do that with your mom.

So happy for you. If you are already up and around a day later, you are doing great!Plastics are the final step in your transformation. Isn't is amazing how our pets are so in touch with our feelings and emotions?
