Hey friends,
Just wanted to let you guys know I had my tummy tuck, tiny bit of lipo, breast lift, and augmentation yesterday.

I'm home and doing well, able to get up on my own. Cant wait til the garments are off Monday so I can see everythng.

The doctor says she took off 4lbs of stomach skin.

My dog Smokey has not left my side for one second, except to be coaxed outside to pee and eat. He is the best, most faithful dog ever (im his mom so im biased). He even is insisting laying on me so that he is touching me at all times so we had to put a pillow between us so he didnt hurt me.

Life is good and remember, nothing worth having comes easy.

Sassy,
For just having had surgery, you look beautiful as usual! Sending prayers and healing thoughts your way!! I worry about my Beagle brigade jumping on me if I have plastics, but I figure I'll get a walker to guard me! I'm hoping it will be my turn for plastics about a year from now!!

Was the surgery worse or better than getting the VSG? You are brave! Do you mind my asking the approximate cost, and those are the procedures I figured I would need if I can lose this weight. Did insurance cover anything? Want to have an idea of how much I should start saving (which is impossible with a kid in college but I can always dream).  My dog hasnt left my side since surgery so im happy to see your dog by your side - they make you feel so much better dont they? Good luck with your recovery and congrats on the plastics!

the VSG was a piece of cake compare to the ovarian cyst i had removed in april and this plastic surgery. that was easy peasy comparatively!!

if i had documented for insurance i might have been able to get my breast lift covered but my father was generous enough to do this for me. it really shocked me he offered to pay for everything.

the first surgeon i went to quoted me 12,500 for tummy tuck and breast lift. the augmentation would have been an additional 2,000.  we actually ended up going with another surgeon who my bariatric center referred to, she was more familiar with stretched skin like mine. My tummy tuck, breast lift, and silicone impant with augmentation was around 17,000.

let me say this though, i would live with the skin a thousand times over if we couldnt have afforded plastic surgery. i feel so much better with the weight gone  i would do this surgery again anyday and deal with the skin. seriously, dont be afraid of the prospect of loose skin. i could have lived without the surgery.

thanks for your well wishes. and to everyone for their well wishes!

I don't think it will be easy, the pain that is. I am just a newbie sleeve and know I will need plastics but so afraid of the pain. I had csections before and they were not easy and don't want to go through that type of pain again. I will follow your post op and hopefully it will take the ease off of my mind. Was wondering if you are on good pain meds?
