Holiday in the Dominican Republic
Hola everyone! Just returned from a week in the sun and beaches. What a fantastic week. I did things I never would have done had I not lost weight. I went on an ATV adventure ride as well as a zip line with 12 stations that was 600 feet off the valley floor. I can not imagine myself ever doing that a year ago. I was scared out of my mind on the zip line but I did it and it was terrifyingly exhilarating. I also snorkeled for the first time, which was one of my favorite moments. Now I want to get my scuba diving certificate. Hubby and I are going to take lessons here in Calgary.
Also got on the airplane, buckled my seat belt, no extension needed even had room left on the strap. What a feeling. The best part is, while there I lost an additional 4 pounds for the week. I was worried I would gain weight with all the food there, but I just choose wisely and I was fine. All that extra exercise just put me over the top.
What a great week. Just had to share with everyone. I love this sleeve and the life it has given me back.

PS. Half way to my weight goal! WooHoo!!!!

congratulations, sheila, on all of your accomplishments.
this surgery is such a blessing in getting our quality of life back. for the exact reasons you mentioned, the snorkeling, ziplining, and being active is why we go through the scariness and pain of surgery and recovery.
the new exploration of life makes it all worth it.
glad you are embracing the new, cheers on enjoying your new life!
