PLUS tomorrow is my 2 month surgiversary. I am down 41 pounds total, 31 since surgery. I will try to post some pictures soon. I was a 22W at the time of surgery, although I've been as high as 293 back in 2004.
I had a whole lot of fear and trepidation about surgery. I couldn't stop thinking I could do this myself, I'd done it before, but all my recent evidence (15+ years!) was that I would die trying.
Eight weeks out, I tell you, this has been a great decision! Though I have been losing very slowly for the past 3 weeks (1-2 lbs each week), I am still shrinking, so I'm not going to complain. Every time I have lost weight, I have stalled or stopped at 230, so I'm not surprised it's taking a while to get past it this time either.
I am able to follow my food plan without many challenges. Most days I am around 650 calories, which satisfies my very manageable and appropriate hunger.
I have lost a lot in my gut, which has really helped me in Pilates. I did The Seal in class (clap clap clap) for the first time in years, and a couple of other exercises with names too weird to mention. I am at the smallest sizes in my attic wardrobe (18W) and feeling great!!
Need to update my ticker - I'm 52!!
Happy, happy Birthday! Enjoy your day and congrats on your great weight loss so far!
