So when will I be able to eat more than like 5 bites of food?
Alot sooner than YOU will EVER WANT ,-)
Majority of your swelling is going or gone now...you've graduated unto regular diet ...and at 3 months can now eat raw veggies, fruits with seeds on or in them. Texture may still be an issue...for me hamburger meat was, so was bread. Bread sat heavy like a brick!...hamburger meat only if I wanted pain n puking.
The process to "normal" is a slow one...Have PATIENCE!! I figure around 6 months out you should be feeling relatively normal and bold in your experimentation w/ little repercussions...but proceed SLOW...slow is OK!!
Enjoy these days, make em last as long as possible, cuz they will BE BEHIND YOU before ya know it! Follow yer program..measure out yer portions...can't eat it fine...immediately throw it away or put it up for next mealtime. You will NEVER waste away...yer body has built in mechanisms to SURVIVE...to LIVE! even at the expense of other tissues, organs, bones etc...it will feed off them before it will ever waste away! The disease/disorder process takes a LONG TIME! well you know that....it took ya awhile to become MO and lead ya to VSG right ,-)
Slow mealtime down, chew to liquification..give yer bowels a head start.... less stress, get full faster, eat less, better healthy all the way around....I flashback to that Nicole Simpson autopsy whenever I rush thru a meal: one of my disordered eating problems, ...WHOLE ravioli in her stomach...and she had a normal stomach! So I try n remind myself. SLOW IT DOWN...where's the fire!
