80% by 6 months, I sure missed my mark lol. However I did get to a little over 50%.

Thanks for all the feedback!!  lt WAS Elina's l was trying to remember.  l don't think l knew how to bookmark when l first read that way back...=)

l just wanted some kind of guideline to set my own goals from... lf l have a goal, l obtain it.  lt l don't have a plan, l flounder.  lt's the same with the food journalling... myfitnesspal.com has become my new addiction/obsession.

Also, l have 4 days til surgery - l'm trying to visualize my weight loss at different points in the future.

My surgeon looks for 60% EWL at 6 months, and I think 80% in the first year. I realize now why my doc has been so happy with me. I was calculating EWL based on weight charts not 24.9 BMI.  I should have been using 140 instead of 130, lol.  That put me at 67% EWL at 6 months, and i'm at 84% at 8 months with 18lbs to go to 'normal.'  My goal is lower than that, though.  I want to get to 124 which is a BMI of 22.

Wow ! That's awesome.  lt's been so many years of hopelessness, l've never in my wildest dreams hoped of having a 'normal' BMI.  My ideal is actually quite a bit lower than l imagined, too.

Cheers to being 'normal'!!
