WOW! Its been 9 months-VSG and Vet School Update with PICS!
Hey OH Fam!
Wanted to check in, its been 9 months since my VSG..The day of surgery I was 240lbs, a size 18/20/22, and MISERABLE. I was 27 and felt like I was 50, trapped in my own fat body.
Today I am 147lbs, size 8/10, and ACTIVE and HAPPY! I love the weight being gone, I have so much more stamina and confidence. I walk 3 days a week for an hour, and also fit in hikes with my dog, bellydancing, kayaking, etc..I no longer dread activity, I embrace it.
I am thrilled that I did this. If you are on the fence, I promise you your quality of life after VSG is so much improved. I feel young and vibrant again. I love shopping now, love going out, participating in events, everything. I am still a major foodie, love cooking, enjoy what I eat, just eat smaller, healthier portions.
Now, on to Vet School!! So you guys know I applied...and I was granted an interview!! Which is the next step to being accepted. My interview is Thursday. The thought of doing what I love (vet school) and doing it on St. Kitt's in the Carribean is absolutely thrilling to me. And the weight loss will help me be a better vet!
This last year has been so exciting. The weight loss, new opportunties, its all so amazing. I am currently working on a research paper to be published with an orthopedic vet and learning how to do doggie physical hydro-therapy (treadmill, pool) which I LOVE!!! Those animals feed my soul..
Please also keep me in your thoughts, I am having my tummy tuck, breast lift, and augmentation November 3rd and am excited but a bit nervous. Can't wait to be rid of the excess belly (though if i couldnt have PS I still would have the VSG and the skin isnt that bad). I hide it all well but its time to get things nipped, tucked, lifted, and enlarged..oh vanity
Thanks for tuning in, newbies if you have any questions feel free to message me, I am so thrilled how VSG has helped me change my life.

Wow Sassy, what a difference in your life in the last 9 months!! GOOD for YOU!! You are a shining example of what this journey is all about. Instead of whining and staying in your misery, you stood up and changed it to what YOU WANT! ( kudos to all of us for that step by the way)
You look amazing (always did though, since the first pic posts :) but now, simply WOW!!!!!!!!!! And I am so happy to hear about the Vet school progress. It is so cool to get closer to where your lifes passion is. You'll do great....So enough of that, CONGRATS, be proud and be happy. xoxo
