Women's underwear size?
Crazy question. But.....I am currently wearing Lane Bryant underwear size 14/16 which is the smallest they go I believe. I'm needing to buy some new underwear because its starting to be too big. I have no frame of reference on what size to buy. Regular underwear runs in the size 6-7-8 -9 sizes and I have no idea where that falls in comparison to the underwear from lane bryant. Anyone have any idea?
I don't want to waste money and buy the completely wrong stuff.
Thanks!
Amy

That would put you in an XL(8) or L(7.) You may have to bite the bullet and try some on over your current undies. I didn't do that and my new panties are looking distressingly baggy in the butt, so I know of what I speak. Have fun shopping!

Great question because I'm in the same situation. I'm trying to hold off yet because otherwise I'll have to buy new undies at least once more before goal. Mine are sagging now, but not terribly. Hopefully I can buy some L maybe and that will work toward and maybe even at goal. We'll see.

I decided early out that I would NOT wear baggy underwear. I started at size 13... I'm now in size 9.
What I do is buy a size smaller and keep it in my drawer. When my current ones are looking baggy, I open the new pack, throw away all the old ones and buy another pack of the current size and one pack of the size smaller. It's weird because my size 9 undies say I should be in size 20 pants, but... no. I'm in size 26 or so. You're probably going to to be in a size 7 or so, I'd guess, but women's body types are SO different, just try on a pair over your current ones and then you'll know what size to buy. I've worn "Just My Size" for so many years that if felt weird buying the size 8 "on standby" in Hanes brand :) I actually looked to see who made JMS because I do love the undies :) And yes, I proudly wear granny panties. They're comfy. LOL

If this helps...a person who wears a womens size 22/24 pant would probably wear a size 9 or 10 panties. So for each pant size down just count down the same with the panties.
If you go online to department stores like JC Penneys, Sears, etc. websites or look at their catalogs they will list measurements for sizes so you could take your measurements to find out what size you need, QVC lists measurements too.

Size 11's were getting small as were my size 24 pants. Now the underwear is baggy, as the size 24 and some 22 pants are starting to be as well. I don't mind the undies being baggy, though pretty soon I'm planning on getting smaller ones. It's the bras getting too big that are a pain. Luckily, I had bought a bunch of bras in one size smaller, by accident, a couple years ago and now they are fitting. I get the packs of undies at Wallyworld - either JMS or Fruit of the Loom. They usually have hip sizes on the back of the package as a guide, if that helps.
