Dense Protein, how I love thee,,,let me count the ways..
I just wanted to give a shout out to protein! I'm talking meat, people!!
Dense protein has helped me reach my goal, filled my belly, and kept me feeling fuller longest.
When it comes to carbs, junk, and slidery foods I can eat up to 2.5 ounces..
But meat, precious meat, I can rely on to fill me up. 1.5 ounces and game over. I will be full for several hours.
Dense protein can get boring so over the course of this journey I have relied on beef, chicken, bison, duck, fish, shellfish, goat, rabbit, quail, pork..
Ive cooked all those meats different ways to keep things interesting..
So the point of my ode to meat is: EAT IT!! It will get ya where you want to be. Fill up with meat versus junk and you will see results. And dont be afraid to try new types, you might find something you really like.

Some of my favorites are
- jamaican curried goat (there are a ton of recipes on the internet), i get the goat from the butcher already cut up
-my moms meatballs- of course no exact measurements but i can give you the basic run down- take meatloaf mix (beef, pork, and veal) add an egg, a little water or milk, salt, pepper, a generous amount of FRESH italian parsley, chopped, some italian breadcrumbs, and the secret ingredient is alot of good grated locatelli or parmigano reggiano cheese (I aint talkin Kraft!)- mix everything together with your hand and form into balls which can be fried or baked..mmm!
-roasted chicken spiced with thyme, salt, pepper, and olive oil and lemons in the body cavity
-grilled ribeye, topped with gorgonzola cheese and a side of grilled whole scallions
-low carb wraps- using romaine lettuce leaves as the wrap- the filling is made with tuna in olive oil (dont drain!), mix in roasted red peppers, salt, fresh cracked black pepper, top with shredded parmesean cheese
*romaine leaves make great taco and sandwich wrappers also!
