Can't STOP losing weight? Vets weigh in..
Im almost 9 months out..and exceeded my original goal weight of 160..i weighed 147 today
and the scale keeps going down..and im really not trying, im not crazy strict althought i dont eat alot of junk or anything...my stats per day when i track range from 900-1200 calories, 65-90g carbs 65-90g protein 40-60g fat...
im not going to complain, i would rather be lighter and have a 5lb window to gain if that happens..i am definitely of the camp that your body will settle where it wants and not to fight it..
im just wondering how much more i can possibly lose (especially since my TT is in 2 months..)
i just never thought i would go this low with no sign of stopping..even as a thin adult at age 18 in highschool my lowest was 153 and a size 12...i just bought a skirt from express in a 6..this is foreign terratory for me.
did you guys just decide to let your body go as low as it wanted? or did you really have to add in alot of carbs and cals to maintain??

Most folks who are in the "your body will decide" will tell you not to worry and that on rebound you will be thankful to have gone as low as you did.
Me? Since I lift N setch, I am under the impression that I have control of what rebound I do or do not have, so, its not *for me* about my body settling, its about where I want to be, and where I want to stay.
Now, understand too that PS revs up your metabolism too and lots of folks feel out of control with losing after PS too for a bit.
So. I think if you are staying in the body decides camp, then you just gotta ride it out sistah!
I think for me, dipping to a way low weight (but mostly size!) and then thinking I am going to be okay with random gains in weight AND size would be a serious mindfuck that I didnt want any part of, and jeez, I already got rid of my 72 sizes in the closet!
Let us know if you find out some good formula aside from raising calories from 100 to 200 per week and seeing where you stabilize! That is the most logical one, it seems to me!
as far as the PS i do wish i could wait longer from surgery but i kind of have extenuating cir****tances..and its a now or never type of thing..and ill take november over never!
thanks for the replies

And I also dont mean to say I think that I think the body deciding camp are a bunch of loons, because I dont! I just was of the "I am stopping HERE" camp.
I think that a lot of things we are told, like that we should go as low as we can, are definitely good ideas for folks who arent going to be physically active, so at least then, they do have a padding, so to speak.
For me and size, a LOT of it had to do with - I have a neighbor who is a size 4. She is TINY. She looks frail *to me* she is also a LOT shorter than I am. That size on me, I dont think would be attractive to me (and honestly, I realized that my skin issue WASNT gonna get better, the thinner I got!!) and another thing, I need LONG pants. I have a HARD time finding 6 LONGs, but I still CAN find them. All 4 longs must be special ordered.
I just dont have the budget or high maintenance cares for that sort of thing, ya know?
But I dont think either camp is wrong! I just wanted to share my thoughts about my choices.
You know. I love to use the words and share the thoughts!
If you have no body fat left, then I'd be worried about losing still. But I've found that I still have some in spots, and I'm waiting for it to distribute more evenly. I would have to work harder to lose weight now, my body just stopped as I added more carbs. I'm not logging my food any longer, either.
I don't know how tall you are, so you might check a BMI calendar and see if you fall in the normal range before worrying too much. Did your plastic surgeon tell you how many pounds he thought he might remove in your surgery?
I am about 5'6.5 and my lean muscle mass is between 115-120lbs..
I am currently sitting in the normal BMI range of 23.7..so I probably could lose another 5-10 lbs and still be safe, i dont think im 'too thin' yet and do have some areas that could reduce a little.
neither p.s. mentioned how much they would take off with the TT weight wise but i will be honest, i dont have a huge pannus or anything, just a little pooch thats stretched out and unslightly and should be removed..so im guessing it wouldnt weigh more than a few pounds..
