Do I need a Medical Alert bracelet for VSG??

I DO have a bracelet and a card from my Dr in my wallet.  I was advised by my surgeon that I should not have a blind NG tub insertion - you should have a tube insertion with a scope if you need one.  I would rather someone know I had the surgery if I am passed out.

Revision on 01/13/14
I have a medic alert bracelet for drug allergies, so I added it on. It comes with  a wallet card, so they can look anywhere and find something.

Revision from sleeve to RNY is set for January 13, 2014.

Thank you everyone for your responses, great information!   Not sure yet what I'm going to do about the bracelet, but for now I will attach something to my insurance card and driver's license.
