I drank Propel water yesterday for the first time and had stomach cramps all night. This morning I had bad diarrhea this morning. I had nothing else different to eat than what I normally have. Have any of you gotten sick by drinking Propel? Love the taste and thought it would help me get in all my water - not if it goes right through me. Please advise.   Thanks!

Bummer.  I drink Propel almost daily, either the premixed or the powder to mix in my own water.  It's never affected me like it did you.

Maybe try it again in a week or two if you really love it?  Good luck.

Propel is my lifeline :-p I drink it every day - either the powder or bottled propel.

I wouldn't rule it out. I get stomach cramps randomly but they come and go and I dont think there's any one thing I eat that causes them.

That's odd... could it have been something other than the Propel that you had around the same time?

I've had nothing bu****er with the grape powdered packets to drink since surgery (not a fan of plain water) and have never had the reaction you described.  Hopefully it was just a fleeting thing!

I had the exact same problem with Propel water waaaaay before I had WLS.

I've tried it on multiple occasions and the same thing happened every time. I would get stomach cramps, bad tingle in my mouth/back of throat and sometimes broke out into a sweat. never diarrhea though

i wouldn't think of trying it now post-op. horrendous!

WOW! I was wondering if anyone else had been getting severe stomach cramps from drinking Propel. I promise you that Propel is the culprit. I used to drink it all the time and never got sick, but recently I started drinking it again and found that every night I would drink it, the next morning I would be on the verge of vomiting and as soon as I stopped drinking it, I never got the cramps again.

I have been drinking Propel for 6 months as my main drink.  I used to drink diet soda for many many years but moved to Propel as I cannot stand the taste of plain water, usually tinny.  I had no problems with Propel... until about 3 weeks ago.  I had to have my gallbladder taken out they said because I lost so much weight so fast, and ever since, I am having trouble every morning when I have Propel the day before/that morning.  I was starting to think it was my vitamins/supplements but had feeling it might be the Propel.  This now has me believing it is the problem.

Propel water put me in the emergency room the last two nights with the most excruciating gassy feeling in my gut!! Literally doubled over with pain! Be warned! I had no clue what the cause was but now I know it was Propel water. I had tried it for the first time and never would have guessed it was the problem. But believe me, it was the worst pain ever!! Never again!

Propel water made me VERY sick with instant bloating and severe diarrhea. I can't believe it's allowed on the shelves. The bes****er to drink is distilled water along with water naturally contained in fresh fruits like watermelon, oranges and grapefruit. I've found that constantly cleansing my GI tract with lots of fruits makes me feel great, stabilizes my blood sugar and satisfies my sweet tooth.
