Indulgences - random question
Definitely not in my loss period. I needed to get to goal, I only have so much laser focus in me, my past has shown me. No ******g around. Get my ass to goal and figure out how to do maintenance then. Food was always going to be there.
Now? Sure. On our rare goings out to dinners at Mexican, I have as many chips as I can cram in my pie hole and my "entree" is honestly just another vehicle for chips.
Doritos or cheetos? Nah, why waste good carbs on stank. I would rather it be real tortilla chips (fresh warm restaurant kinds) or Lime flavored tostitos.
But I also dont have this stuff in the house, even at 2 years out. For me, its the beginning of a bad bad habit that I have broken. I eat non nutritional food OUT of my house, not in my house, unless I am having a function, but then, at the end of the function, all trigger foods go in the trash, get covered with noxious something (dishwashing detergent) then put out in the big trash.
I risked my life and my relationship for an elective surgery to help me restrict my huge tum and tame my panicked hunger. It didnt change any disordered eating patterns I have, so I have had to learn to set myself up for success when danger foods are involved.
So. No and yes. :}

Here's the scary truth on this....for me, chips are so easy to eat, they go down nicely unlike most other foods, which is why I wish I never tried any post op....
So yes, I've eaten them, and no it's not my best idea I had. LOL.
Candy is also easy to eat...really junk food does not fill up the sleeve the way real food does, so my guess is that we can do quite a bit of damage if eating large portions of junk food daily. Not to mention becoming severely vitamin deficient....
But really I eat lean protein/healthy carb 99% of the time, so I feel "no harm, no foul"....
