I've had a bite or two of just about everything:  potato chips, tortilla chips, cake, ice cream, mashed potatoes.  Every once in a while.  As USAF Wife (Tiffany) has said, it isn't a bite that got me fat.  It's the whole cake, whole bag, whole carton.  I'm unable and unwilling to eat that way these days, so a bite, sliver, or nibble suffices.

Yes I have.  It is not something I keep in the house because I could eat them with out end, they are a total slider for me.  But I have had some chips recently at a family get together and yesterday went to a mexican resturaunt for lunch and had some yummy home made ones.  Again, not something I have readily available to me.

And to answer the poster who is having surgery in September...
Yes, wonderful thing about this surgery is that you will more than likely be able to eat everything you "want", but the key is to learn self control and eat what your body needs not what it wants.  Some of us stay away from such treats until maintenance, some indulge once in awhile and some probably indulge too much.  You will have to learn your limits and your triggers and make choices for you.

I have zero issue admitting that I eat chips. But, I didn't eat them in my losing stage, and instead of eating an entire bag, just a few make me happy. I really love to put Doritos on half of a sandwich for some crunch.

I eat those little 33cent bags, the ones that come in the "lunch pack", once or twice a week. If I get the 99cent "Big Grab" bag, I typically snack on it 2-3 times and I keep a bag of funyuns or cheddar/jalapeno cheetos in this cool little cubby in my Nitro. I also keep beef jerky, and peanuts in that same cubby.

Chips didn't and won't make me fat. Eating an entire $4 bag of chips with dip several times a month made me fat.

i am in my losing phase still and the only thing i have indulged in is fruit..and only sparingly
oh wait...i did have a fork full of brownie for 4th of july, but on my honor that was all!!!

sweets and portion control are my issues and i am getting to the place where i can push pass the cravings for donuts, cakes, etc...  i am afraid to eat them right now

I eat chips fairly often.  They have to be certain ones and very crunchy.  I also exersice at a high level and burn a significany amount of calories, so carbs are not something I avoid and the calories are always logged and within my daily limit.

Nope, not a one.  And cheetos and doritos (lime flavored) were favorites pre-op.  Don't crave them and don't want to start with them.  If I want something salty/crunchy, I go to pork rinds or cheese chips.
