SURGERY TOMORROW~!!!!

A little nervous but oh so ready to get this surgery over with..yeah! I have been w/o my med (anti inflammatory) for 5 days for my VERY painful spinal stenosis. I cannot sit, sleep well or move w/o PAIN!

Just wonder how on earth I will get INTO bed after surgery when it takes me so long now. BUT I WILL be back on back pain med which really helps. My beloved pharmacist found the med in a patch form..and so I will not have to swallow it.

My sister is coming at 4:30 AM insisting on taking me.

Please say prayers I will not be in too bad shape pain wise due to the way they position you for surgery-NOT good for bad backs.

Thanks for your support along the way~ Jan

Prayers sent for a quick and speedy recovery and of course, a smooth procedure!

Hopefully the "good drugs" at the hospital will mask any back pain and they can get you back on meds for your back ASAP!!!

And before too long the weight loss might help you get off the meds all together!!!

Drag your thoughts away from your troubles... by the ears, by the heels, or any other way you can manage it. Let us be of good cheer, remembering that the misfortunes hardest to bear are those which will never happen. Troubles are a lot like people - they grow bigger if you nurse them. I keep the telephone of my mind open to peace, harmony, health, love and abundance. Then, whenever doubt, anxiety or fear try to call me, they keep getting a busy signal - and soon they'll forget my number. May everything go well, Jan.

Best of luck and prayers sent your way.  I deal with chronic pain also and have wondered how it will be handled once I go in for surgery.

Also, I didnt have to worry about a thing I had the best nurses, aid and assistance ever, they were like guardian angels. They were caring people and they really enjoyed what they did; even the odd job that comes with the territory. I was put in the bed and out without my assistance. I was so medicated. I also, was very surprised becuz I recall my surgeon's office asking me to list all of my medications and I did'nt have a clue they were giving me all my prescriptions thru my IV. Everyone including my facial cream for Melasma they even handed me my cream for that. I thought that I had to take all my medication with me but learned I didnt have to take a one. All I had to do was just be there.

Hugs and prayers for you. If your surgery goes like mine you have nothing to worry about. Mine went smooth as silk with minimal pain and no complications. 55 days out and feel absolutely great.
Before you know it you will be on the losers bench!

Honestly had more discomfort at the dentist than this surgery. Will be thinking about you tomorrow and welcome to the losers bench.
