Can anyone tell me whether it hurts more to recover from a sleeve or a c-section?

thanks

 Hey Jo......
Versus a C Section.....the Sleeve is like a stubbed toe. Easy Peasy!

Obviously I can't compare it to a C section, but I honestly have had more discomfort just going to the dentist then this surgery.

That's so funny!  And having had two C-sections I can totally agree with you.  I HATE the dentist!!!!!!

Forgot to say that for me the pain was at most a 3 on the 10 scale (mostly gassy due to anesthetic) and it was gone in two days. 34 days out and feel absolutely great! Returned to pro op level of activity. Hope this helps.

what Annie_mo said. The sleeve is nothing compared to a c section, at least I felt that way..

honey, a sleeve is less invasive on the outer surgical area. You have had major surgery with it but nothing like a c -section. There is min amount of pain. You are up walking the first nite. You don't have the burning and can cough without feeling your tummy is going to open. Don't get worked up the gas they put in is the most difficult. As soon as day four you are so much better. You also have the small tiny cuts and it is upper tummy not lower abdomen. You will see So much easier.Good Luck. I am on day 9, I am good too.

Starting my new sleeved-life on 7/5/11!

I agree with the others.  I had 2 C-sections and this was a walk in the park!!  I was up and out of bed walking the halls 3 hours after the surgery with NO discomfort!!

I can't BEGIN to tell you how excited I am to hear this. TO be honest i wasn't worried about the pain or anything, I had a classical c-section and that healed in about  shoot maybe 2 weeks? I was up and walking the same day, acually 8 hours later :) Soooo this should be doable, totally doable!
