Drinking makes me feel hungry

I drink one hour after I eat, and I start to feel hungry when I drink, almost every time.  I take a prescription acid reducer.  Any thoughts?  This is kind of driving me nuts.  My tummy growls and everything.  If it's head hunger, it sure feels real enough to get on my nerves!  I eat until I feel full, and I eat protiens first.

If you keep drinking does that help you not feel hungry anymore?

No :(  And it doesn't seem to matter if it's hot, cold, flavored, etc

The same exact thing happens to me!! Sometimes I try to avoid drinking at all because I feel like overtime I do, I start getting hungry again! So weird! Hopefully it stops soon!!

Good Luck

I discovered early that the longer I hold off drinking, the longer I feel full.  I don't think it has anything to do with acid.  The liquid just pushes the food out of  your stomach, it's empty, and it wants something!  Since I can drink pretty fast now, I hold off drinking until about an hour and a half before my next meal and then I really push the liquids for an hour, then do the 30 minute no drinking thing.

Some of it is a head game.  Start telling yourself "I'm hungry.  But hunger is not an emergency.  I can wait."  My next meal is seldom more than a few hours away and, if I say my mantra and then distract myself, I do okay.

I really have to stick to my schedule or I will barely get in 50 or so ounces of water, let alone 64+.  If I put it off, it will get too late and my bladder issues prevent me from drinking too late - I will be up alllll night.  I am going to see the dr about my bladder this week, looks like another surgery for me due to a prolapsed bladder.  ANYWAY - what I am getting at is maybe I can change things up after I get the bladder issue addressed.  Thanks everyone!
