How much can you eat 18 mos out?
I am 11 months out and can't eat a 6 inch Subway. I can eat about half of one, and have on a couple of occasions. My husband and I had surgery the same day, and he can eat a little bit more than me, but I think a 6 inch sub would be too much for him as well. I'm not sure how much will change in the next 7ish months, but I'm guessing I still won't be able to eat a whole sub at that time, either.
Hell NO, I can not remotely get down that much food in one meal. I can eat 4 meatballs, 1/2 slice of provolone, and about 3inches of bread from only the bottom slice of a Subway meatball sub, and I'm 2 years out. I would have to stretch that "meal" out over 2 hours to consume all of that food.

I am 14 mths postop...and there is no way I could eat a 6-inch sub. I can eat 2.5-3oz of dense protein (chicken breast) and I am satisfied. If I eat a vegetable with the meat than I eat only about 2 oz of chicken plus small amount of veggie. Cottage cheese...I can eat 1/2 cup and that's it..it's a meal for me. I get in about 600-800 calories a day..but I am definitely satisfied with that.
I am 15 months out, and on most days I couldn't even dream of eating a 6-inch Subway sub. I do have my hungry, I can-eat-a-lot-more-than-usual days, and on my hungriest day I could probably get most of one down. But generally, no. I'd say half would leave me really full.
In fact, I am still surprised at how little I can eat, every. single. day. I just ate 2.5 oz of lean ground beef, 1/2 oz shredded cheese, a small spoonful of guacamole and 1/2 oz crumbled tortilla chips for dinner, and I am STUFFED!!

16 months out, I can eat about a cup of food at lunch when I have 30 minutes to eat at work. If I have a longer time to eat, I can eat slowly, and chew really well, and eat a 1 1/2 cup green salad with bleu cheese crumbles, and 1/2 grilled chicken breast.
for breakfast I can eat a boiled egg, about 1/4 cup grits, and a tomato slice.
Or I can eat about 2/3 of a pecan pancake from cracker barrel.
When eating out at Olive Garden, I was able to eat 1/2 of a LUNCH serving of eggplant parmesan without the pasta that comes with it, no bread, and about 4-5 bites of salad.
No way I can eat much bread. So no subway sub. I would probably ditch the bread, and just eat the middle out of it.

Yes, I am pretty sure that I could eat a whole 6 inch sub if I was on one of my hungry days, and I did not drink anything with it. At about one year out, I could only eat half that but now I can eat a great deal more. I can easily eat a whole cup of cottage cheese, or 4-5 oz of protein and 1/2 cup of veggies. I can eat a cup and a half of home made chili or two eggs or one large piece of bread with laughing cow cheese and one fried egg on top. You should also know that I get hungry again and my craving have returned especially around that time of the month. It is much harder to maintain the weight loss than it was to lose in the first place. At least that is my truth. I will be two years out at the end of the month and I am five pounds below goal weight, or 105 lbs. So this is not impossible, but it does take eating low calorie, high fiber foods and eating protein first. I also have to watch my desire to graze. I do allow myself quite a few treats, but they are just that treats and not everyday indulgences. Sorry, I got off topic there. The bottom line is yes, I can eat that much at least some of the time.
Elina, I am curious as to how tall you are? I am 5'2" and now weight 117. My goal is 115 but I am having issues with people telling me to stop losing because I have taken it too far. I find this so discouraging because I desperately want to reach my goal. I have been eating quite a bit more food lately but still am losing. I don't know if that is going to change. I am about a little less than 9 months out. I don't want to eat a 6" sub, but being able to eat a few more carbs is kind of nice.
