I got asked that this morning while cooking my turkey sausage and egg....oh so yummy and I gave my answer "I eat this or with bacon every morning. In moderation eggs are a very healthy food. Maybe you should start eating some eggs in moderation." THey quickly left my office and I didn't see them again today...

Yes I do have a mini kitchen setup in my office(IT Manager....so plenty of counter top space )

You must be talking about my mom because that's exactly what she does and I haven't even had the surgery yet.  I can't win!  It's like when I was skinny she would get on me about not eating enough, and even when I was an adult at family gatherings she would try to  fill my plate for me like I was a child.  And now that I am overweight she get's on me because she doesn't think I eat enough.  But, I wrote down something someone put on the OH forums and it made me laugh:

"Some people might not support my WLS decision.  Those people remind me of Slinky's, not good for much but it would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs!"  Hang in there.

I think it's more curiosity than anything, probably no rude intentions.  I have a lotta people asking me why I eat so much red meat, my answer is protein.  Since I can't eat a lot my cholesterol and BP are not a factor...I try to educate if I can as long as I don't think they are intending to be insulting.

Someone told me "You're going to gain some back if you keep making pots of that good chili without using turkey".  My response...probably not if all I can eat is maybe 6 ounces at a time.

Unless someone gets rude with me now or tries to joke I'll usually respond politely...or try to.  I was at a vendor paid for dinner and someone said "Bet you wish you could get one of these 32 oz steaks", my response was "Yeah, I could eat on that sucker once a day for a whole week, not sure humans are supposed to wolf down two pounds of meat in one sitting plus a salad, sides, and dessert".  They even get a lil pissed if I decide to order a small dessert lmao.

RE: Pork Skins and Beef Jerkey...personally I eat one bite at a time and very slowly. I can get about 3 porkskins down that are about 1x1/5 inches in size so I don't have a problem there and with beef jerkey I really chew slowly and only eat about 2" at a sitting.

In thinking about rebuttals to someone asking if I should be eating "that", I think I would probably say to them that I am very knowledgable about the diet that my Dr has given me since I have been on the program for X number of weeks/months etc.  Then I would probably ask them why, did my Dr tell you I shouldn't be eating this? Oh, have you had bariatric surgery?  You must have been on an old diet because I assure you I am very observant of my list of approved foods.

My response:

No I'm not supposed to be eating this but my grocery store was out of my usual diet foods: eye of newt, bat hearts, and frog toes. Now please move, you are standing on my broom.
