3/21 for me, so far down 55lbs post op.  My goal is 800 calories per day with 80g of protein, though I try to get 100g in occasionally.  I have not started working out but walk a few times per week.  I do have an appointment with a personal trainer next week to set me up on some sort of a workout plan.

I try my best to stick to a lower carb plan and I think I have been around 30g per day in most cases.

WOW!!  We were sleeved on the same day and you have lost almost double what I have lost.  I wonder what I am doing wrong.  Great job by the way!

Foodlover: You are probably NOT "doing wrong"!!! Everyone is different and not everyone can lose weight at the same rate.  Hang in there!  The weight WILL come off. We just have to be patient. We didn't gain it overnight, and it won't come off overnight!

My best to you, dear friend!

Hi.  I was sleeved 3/29. Doing fairly well, my stats are in my signature.

I don't work out as much as I would like, mostly weights and walking, with some floor exercise for toning.  Work is beating my ass right now.  By the time I get home and walk the dog, I am too tired to do more cardio.  Hope to work on that.  Plan to add swimming if this CA weather ever warms up.  I try to avoid carbs, no taters, rice and bread here.  I make a lot of eggface recipies and get a lot of protien.  It's a struggle to get 64 oz, I'm having bladder issues.  Overall, feeling very well and positive.  I have not had a stall yet, but I am sure I will.  I weigh in once a week.  Started at a 18/20 now in a 16 and some 14, size M top.  My last measurements on 5/26 were:

Waist:  36
Hips:  44.5
Thighs:  24
Chest::  40
Calves:  17.5
Bicep:  13

Starting measurements on 3/27 were:

W:  38.7
H:  49.5
T:  28
CH:  42.5
CA:  19
B:  14

Congrats everyone!

3/14....I've lost 57lbs  I typically try to get 80g protein minimum and 30g carbs maximum.  I've also learned that if I don't get 8 glasses of  water in every day I don't lose.  If I make sure I do I have some sort of loss each and every day.  I don't have a "formalized" work out plan yet.  I go on walks most days I'm off of work and have a bunch of dvd's but haven't started them yet.  I'm self conscious of doing them in front of my family yet.  I would like to do it once and see how I manage and if I can tolerate them I won't have a problem doing them in front of them.

Right now I am struggling with losing my hunger.  I had resigned myself to never losing my hunger but I am and am able to distract myself from eating and am getting into trouble when at work.  Just another thing to overcome!

So everyone, I have only lost 36 pounds which seems to be lower than almost everyone here.  I was sleeved on 3/21.  I eat at least 60 grams of protein per day, I keep my carbs under 40, I drink my water...  I don't move around muc because I have a back disability, but I am starting physical therapy at the hospital to help with that.  Any suggestions for me?  I am really getting down about the little bit of weight I have lost...

Hey, that's still impressive numbers! When else have you lost 36 lbs in three months.  Everyone's body is different so you really should not compare yourself to others.  I use to do that and it drove me crazy and then I said, I will get there when I get there.  If I lose slow, it gives my skin time to catch up and tighten up.  Try getting in a little more protein, even at three months out, I still have one for breakfast and one mid day that give me 62g of protein and that's before my food. I also find that getting in your fluids is very important and I get in at least 64oz of water a day, I find if I don't do that I don't lose. But you are doing wonderfully and should be very proud of yourself! Keep up the good work!

awwww... thanks.  I guess i am so down because before I got the surgery I lost 50 pounds in 4 months on my own by eating 1200-1800 calories.  Now that I have ha surgery, I am losing slower than I did on my own.  I know I should not compare to others, but it seems that EVERYONE I am asking is losing faster than me...  Anyway, thanks.
