I agree, but its made for a fun time with very little bloodshed so far.

SO FAR!!

One comedian was talking about her diet saying she could only have 1/2 cup of lettuce on her and she said she crammed and crammed and crammed lettuce in there until it was a 1/2 cup sized salad nugget, and I thought I must have gotten that from her side of the family!  :}

We are family!

Look *****you want some of this???, LOL....  Okay, well I weigh my food too...well at least my protein.  I even weigh my Greek Yogurt and protein powder cause those scoopers can be way off.  I mean your 1/2 cup may not be the same as my half cup...like you said, it just depends on how you pack it.  And besides nutritional info is based on weight for the most part.  So if I measure 2oz of chicken breast, then I know it's 14gms of protein...but a 1/2 cup...well who the hell knows!!  : )

 Wow I don't weigh or measure at all.   And I'm pretty sure there are a few out there waiting for me to fail because of it.

I am pretty in tune with where my body typically gets full and usually I serve myself about that much or eat that much when I'm eating out.  Now here's the really controversial part:  I listen to my body.  I'm not even being facetious when I say controversial.  I know some say, rightly so, that our bodies led us astray before.  But, honestly, I wasn't truly listening to my body.

It works for me.  It also goes with my "I don't want to get bogged down in the endless dieting cycle ever again" mindset.  That works for me.  But I find it perfectly acceptable that it's not for everyone.

Good for you and that its been working!  Whatever works, is what I think is good!!

I dont think its controversial, I think that some of us just have lying parts.  I know I do, but that you do not and that you *can* listen!  That's a priceless thing!

That's what I think.  That's what I think would be an optimal sort of thing!

Do you feel any better with your pain this very day, girlie?

I'm a volume measurer, and I did weigh things with a little scale just for ****s and giggles. Plus I'm kind of gross so I wanted to know exactly how much food in that measuring cup actually chewed down to. I measured out a portion of chicken, chewed, chewed, chewed and spit it back in the cup. I know, I know gross, gross. But, it had to be done to cure my curiosity.

I'm an eyeballer now, and thus far I haven't had any issues, like "oh **** that bite is coming back up" or "Oh please, let this pass soon." I haven't had that "one last bite" thing happen in a long time.

I see the logic behind all methods, and agree that there is "no right way" for every person. It's MY WAY for ME. Stick a fork in their neck for those that don't like us long-winded gals.

*chuckle*  about your chewed chicken curiosity. Some stuff just *must* be done!!

When we go out to eat, which is rare, I am not an eyeballer or a measurer, I am a have whatever the hell I want gal and I, too, have not every had an "uhoh" moment.

I think its because my "tell" is when I think "okay, JUST ONE MORE BITE" and then I think "DONE!" Because I do not ever recall a post when anybody was ever glad they took that one.. last.. bite.
