Very important articles on PROTEIN SHAKES please read
I agree with getting labs checked.
I had my labs pulled every 3 months for the first year then every 6 months thereafter, and a couple of times in between when I was having other check ups. I have never been deficient in any vitamin/nutrient or protein numbers. My platelets are always low, but that is due to a clotting disorder that causes my platelets to clump to themselves instead of being free floating. This throws off my platelet counts, and I am now on an 81mg aspirin dose for life to help my platelets not stick together. The clotting disorder is a genetic disorder, and has absolutely nothing to do with my VSG, or any other surgery I've endured.

That is smart and if I hadnt been a self pay and worried about insurance flagging everything I submitted after I started showing up asking for multiple labs, I should have done that too.
After the fact, I find out I can get my protein drawn from the direct labs for 30 bucks, somehow in my brain it was a lot more than that!
I know not everyone has been/ever will be deficient, and I am glad for them, but I worry for folks who are and just assume and never check, or get copies of their labs!
You got the smartz, girlie!
