Roll call/support for all of us whose hair is falling out!
Me.
As I say, way too much, I am sure, my body does not take/absorb/keep all the protein I consume from dense proteins. I *have* to supplement with shakes, at least 70g per day or my hair falls out.
I did an exeriment FOR A MONTH and knocked it down to 1 shake a day, and took hydrochloric acid and digestive enzymes with EACH protein dense meal. Note, I eat 200ish g of protein a day, with or without the shakes.
In 1 month my protein level dropped 0.2% from 6.8 to 6.6. Still within normal range right?
Yea, except at 1 year my levels were 1 point below normal range and after a year of 70g per day it was back to low normal at 6.8 and IN ONE MONTH it dropped to 6.6. I am seeing the hair loss NOW from last month's experiment.
0.2 might not seem like much as a stand alone value but as a trend? 0.2 in 1 month x 3 months puts me back at the bottom of normal. x 4 months? Puts me back underneath normal.
This affects my hair first, but who needs your body to cannibalize your muscles because it cannot get at the protein you consume?
Not me man.
Anyway, me, for now, I am doing the shed again. Boo n setch.
Please, get your levels checked. If you are a self pay www.directlabs.net you can get your protein levels done locally at discounted rates. Leigh, the lady who runs the business is also an OH person and will give you a discount for single panels, and another discount for multiple panels.
Labs are sooo important friends. Even early out.
