Today's lunch- Fresh, creamy mozzarella, crisp Roma tomatoes, homegrown fragrant basil, paired with $50 aged imported balsamic vinegar...
If you havent tried aged balsamic vinegar, it is completely different than regular vinegar. It takes on a sweet taste, slightly acidic, minus the over-vinegary flavor..Really good aged stuff is thick, like syrup..it is to die for!!!
*disclaimer*-this is ok on my food plan, i cannot speak for anyone else's. tomatoes contain natural sugar. the vinegar also has sugars.

Well, well.... Sassy done bought her a tomato plant for the yard too(or at least that's what that plant looks like. Brandywine, I'm guessing). Homegrown tomatoes this summer!
