I LOVE LOVE LOVE this post! I am a newbie/pre-op, and posts like this (packed with info and tips) from veterans are priceless!

Thank you for all your candid, honest comments... I am VERY carb sensitive, and LOVE this:

I know it is easier said than done but I just had to set a strong boundary with those foods. One bite is too many, and a thousand bites is never enough.

Awesome post. You are such an inspiration and I really appreciate your posts and your advice. You have taught me sooooo much in these past 7 months since my surgery and there's NO way I could have made it this far without OH and more so, without your help. I, too, have constant never ending hunger, but your amazing recipes and adding chromium and glutamine have really helped.

Thanks sooooooooooooooo much for everything. and I can't wait to follow the rest of your journey.

Thank you.. I'm so glad I could help.. it's being able to help others which gives meaning to my life so it means so much to me to know my recipes and supplement suggestions have helped you!  You are doing very well yourself.. keep up the good work!

The never ending hunger is terrible but if we stay armed with tools like a soldier going into battle and have our food prepared and keep up our supplements and drink our fluids and all of that, we can manage this and win this battle! Hugs to you...

Thank you so much for posting this!  It's great to know what works...and what doesn't work for people.  You and those you mentioned have all been an inspiration to me as well.  Good job hanging in there through the rough spots.  We understand and wish you continued success!!!!

Thank you Deb... you are doing great!  I definitely have to really do a lot of work to help my sleeve along.  I wish I could say it's been easy but I'm just glad I have help.. it was IMPOSSIBLE before!

Everything listed under your "could have done better" are exactly what I could use improvement on also.

I am going to try your 16 oz of water between meals tip. I think that will really help me. Thank you so much for sharing!

It really helps if you have an appetite.. because I want to eat, forcing myself to meet a water quota is incentive because I want the meal.  But it also means I usually have a bit less hunger and am much more hydrated too.. win-win situation!

I really appreciate all the time and care you tookin writing this. I read it very carefully and will certainly take it to heart as I am just starting the journey. I have a feeling I will need to restrict carbs, too. I like your way of looking at it: one bite is too many, a thousand bites is never enough. True, that.

Thanks again, and continued success on your way to goal!
Mom to 8, looking forward to a healthy future!
