Disappointed!

I  had a follow up with my surgeon's office today.  I was weighed and I was a pound up from my last weigh in.  Which I knew I would be because I have been fluctuating with in a 3 pound range for a while now.  Christine, the surgical nurse, said it was to be expected.

Then I told her about some symptoms I was having and she is thinking because I have lost so much weight in a relatively short period of time that my gall bladder is acting up.  She wants my family doc to order a ultra sound for me to have it checked.  And if it is misbehaving, I might have to have it out during my VSG surgery.  So I will be having 3 surgeries in 1.  My VSG, a hernia repair as well as my gall bladder out.  So I will talk to my family doctor at my next appointment, which is coming up in the next couple of weeks.

I also asked where I was in the queue for surgery, I was told that I will most likely have surgery in August.   This is where I get disappointed.  I have worked so hard to get to where I am now, and I was SO hoping that I would have surgery sooner than that.  I know that some people have to wait much longer than I might have to wait, and I am grateful for having the surgery at all, it's just that I have booked a holiday at the end of October in the Dominican Republic and I want to be ready to GO!!!!!!

So please put me in your prayers to receive my surgery earlier than August.

The waiting IS horrible, especially when you just want to go on with your life. I'm praying with you that everything will work out in a way that's best for you.Take care and keep us posted1

It must be frustrating to have all this at one time, but, I know there are others on this forum that had to have all three done at once, too.  Do a search and se if you can get some positive re-enforcement from other's situatons.

I had a hernia repair with my sleeve and it worked out fine.

You will be in my prayers.  I know you are going to come through just fine and you will be so relieved to have it all over with!
