Home Today from hospital, my experience

I had my surgery on Wednesday and came home late this morning.  Thank you for the kind words of support from everyone as I was on my way to the hospital.  Very Sweet. The surgery was much tougher than I expected.  I get nausea from the anesthesia. So 2 days of hell between nausea and extreme gas discomfort. The gastrografffin with xray yuck yuck but I just sucked it up. No leaks. Yeah. Last night, I turned the corner and felt like a new women. Today I felt even better, finally getting juices in and ate some pudding.

Doctor said I had a very large stomach. He removed 80% of it. It did look very tiny on the xray. Kind of reminded me of Mr. Hanky from Southpark.

Anyway, feels good to be home and I look forward to see the shrinking me.

Congratulations on making it  through your surgery and getting home.  That leak test wasn't any fun, but now you are home, and hopefully will be feeling better soon.  (Once I was home, I felt better every single day, thank goodness!)  Welcome to the Bench!  Take care, and best wishes along the journey,  Viv

Congrats on your surgery and welcome to the losers bench. My surgeon told me I had the largest stomach he has ever removed from a woman. I said gee thanks doc you know how
to compliment a woman.

I too had a rough couple of days due to the nausea from anesthesia. Glad you have turned the corner. Keep it up
