no BM in over 8 days....should I worry?

Get your insurance policy then call your insurance company and ask.  Many policies are now covering VSG, but there's no way of knowing until you find out exactly what YOUR policy says about WLS.

I'm 6 days post op and haven't had one either. I'm not sweating it. We've been on liquids so nothing to come out is how I look at it. I did the MOM the day before surgery and that cleaned me out and nothing since. If it makes you feel better though, call your Dr =-)

Those around you may be getting worried -  or not standing between you and the BR.  Seriously, sounds to me like you're close to the limit and should call the DR for adivce - I agree a laxative might be in order at this point.  This is the one area I've found most uncomfortable about the weight loss process - I was so used to setting my watch, and now days go by w/out an alarm of any kind.
