Anyone else more prone to illness after VSG

for the first 2 months I had terrible lower back pain. now it's gone with no explanation.

when I thought I was getting better, this ear ache + sore throat + mild cold hits me. I was NEVER sick before surgery. it's been a terrible week, I stayed in bed for 2 days and I do feel my immune system is really low =(

not sure if it's surgery related but my body is complaining a lot since surgery. in the other hand, (literally), my carpal tunnel symptoms are gone (I am almost believing that carbs give you that too!) and my knee stopped hurting.

I don't think I am getting vitamins like I should and I had a bad week regarding protein. I am lazy to eat fish... lazy to eat lately. I hope to check all my vitamin levels by the end of the month in my 3 months check up and regular physical annual. btw I would love if there was a post pinned up on what needs to be checked as my PCP is not that familiar with VSG.

I find myself the complete opposite! I feel like I used to get a cold or the sniffles all the time pre-surgery. Since my surgery in November, I haven't been sick one time! I contribute taking a daily vitamin to that. Thats really the only thing I can think of why I am not sick yet! Hope you get through the rough patches!

It's the opposite for me as well.

I used to get sick every 3 months like clockwork. Well, I haven't been sick since the surgery last year in August. (knock on wood!).

Props to ColdFX as well. As soon as I'd feel like I was catching something, I'd take a couple and viola....fine the next day!
